Creating Compassionate Community for Educators

Creating Compassionate Community for Educators
1st and 3rd Mondays

Facilitated by Adrian Reznik

December's theme:

"REKINDLE YOUR FLAME"

Educators need time for themselves, time for reflection. The daily relentless giving and doing demanded by their vocation creates obstacles to slow down, take time, and listen deeply to what's stirring inside. The cost of this is not just fatigue and despair, but an educator whose flame eventually fades to darkness - a loss of heart and hope.

This month, give yourself the gift of community and compassionate connections. Unite with like-hearted educators in deep reflection, renewal of the spirit and lively conversation as we explore the following questions:

What are the "birthright" gifts you bring to your lifework?

How do you foster your unique gifts which results in experiencing
greater personal joy in your vocation?

What do you want your legacy as an educator to be?

What is at the heart of your life as an educator?

Reconnect with your vision, vocation, passion and purpose. The voices of educators' hearts need to be heard and held sacred. Listening is what the human self most yearns for, to be received, to be heard, to be known, and in the process to be honored.

Creating Compassionate Community for Educators is:

A sacred space where feelings and needs are valued and received
with compassion and understanding,

A nurturing community of sharing and listening to what is alive within each other and
working towards solutions that bring peace of mind and heart.

If you have lost sight of what called you to teaching or are feeling under appreciated, overwhelmed, or isolated, Creating Compassionate Community is the place to be nourished and nurtured - a place where you reconnect with your true nature, your authentic self desiring to express more fully.

Creating Compassionate Community is for educators, child care providers, teacher assistants, administrators,
coaches, social workers, or anyone else involved in the education of children.
